Where to eat

The University of Ottawa’s Food Services provide students with 23 places to eat that are located in various halls and streets on the three campuses. The principal option is the 24/7 Dining Hall on the main campus in the University Centre (UCU). As its name indicates, it is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the academic year. It is located across from most student residences and close to our office, our classrooms and our language laboratories. There are many other restaurants, cafés, coffee houses and food trucks. Together they provide a variety of meal options and snacks that fulfill all the food requirements of our student population. Consult the complete listing of hours and locations.

There are many restaurants and cafés surrounding the main campus offering Canadian and ethnic food options. They are located in the neighbouring Sandy Hill residential neighbourhood, in the Rideau Centre, in the ByWard Market tourist neighbourhood situated just a few streets North, or elsewhere in Ottawa.

Two local grocery stores situated nearby and open 24/7 also offer prepared meals; they are Metro Rideau Street and Loblaws Rideau Street.
